Somebody finaly documented why Asterisk is bad for SIP
Right back from vacations I found a nice article that documents nicely why asterisk is bad for handling SIP. You can find it here.
Theo I share your view 100%, especially the sentence:
It’s SIP implementation is one of the worst i’ve seen. About as non-compliant to RFC
3261 (The SIP Specification) as they come.

We use Asterix extensively in our business and provide it to our customers. We really have not had any real problems with the SIP protocol at all.
Without VoIP we would not be ale to manage allowing most of our staff to work from home. Soon all our staff will be able to work form home as we have outsourced our manufacturing.
As we work within the flexible working arena we have recently put a survey online about flexible working at http://www.omnisserver.com/survey
