Truphonista travel part I

OK, this is not really the start cause I had quite some travelling allready but I will treat it like it and describe where truphone worked and not and so on … So yesterday I went from Milwaukee, where I was staying at the perfectly Wifi’ed Ambassador Hotel, utilising 10 days of truphone while managing some development stuff to San Francisco for Etel. Stopover in Phoenix. O’hare airport is a desaster if it comes to wifi. The boingo access paes work neither on my e61 nor on my n80 so no truphone, finding anything in this airport is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Catastrophy catastrophy. Bought some painkillers for a swollen dental gum and took my flight to Phoenix. Now Phoenix is different. I spent 4 of my 6 waiting hours on truphone chatting away with wife and kid in Warsaw as well as my offices in Warsaw. Pretty good. Perfect sound quality perfect browsing and Phoenix Airport has that all for freee. YAY. I am writing this from a t-mobile connection on San Francisco International Airport. Now, if I would have 2 accounts I could at the same time talk and write, but I have only one. So either talk o write ;)

Oh and a tip .. if you happen to want to use your truphone at a Panera Bread shop, its a bit clumsy but works

Use a Browser to confirm that you accept the regulations of panera, and reboot your phone. It should now be able to use the Panera access point. Same in phoenix airport but here no reboot needed. :)

OK more truphonista tips next time ;)
